The color will indicate your level of profit when you enter another town so let’s say it’s worth 15 in another one the green will be bright and solid, if it’s selling for like 1 or 2 gold it will be orange or even red. Anything you get from a battle however will not have the colors. ONLY good bought from a town and taken to another.

You can only get trade experience by buying trade goods and selling them at a profit. It's difficult and annoying and very slow. I recommend playing with the Bannerlord Tweaks mod because it lets you modify experience gain and focus/attribute point gain so it doesn't take ages to level things. #3.
