"Engine Fault: Have the vehicle repaired" and ""ESP/ASR system fault" The esp I believe is the braking system. But the odd thing is that brakes are fine. The big one is the Engine Fault. The engine is the 1.6 hdi Diesel. The car drives ok until it is under load. Driving at approx 30-40mph then put your foot down it starts to have a mild stutter.
On HDi's check at the top of the engine for oil leaks: Oil can leak from the ' Air Doseur' shown above onto the alternator and cause problems if left - more info: - Click Here - 2.0 HDi Engines Remember to take the engine cover off (it just clips in place) and look for signs of oil/fuel around the injectors.
Joined: May 21 2016. Location: Belfast. Very interested in this thread. The turbo went in my c4 grand Picasso. After the turbo being re-cored I was recommended to do a dpf clean. Currenty there has been 3bottles of dpf cleaner through her and when warmed up I will give her revs in 2nd and 3rd to help clear the dpf.
More issues with the car: C4GP 1.6 HDI 2007 Manual Gearbox Took in to garage today to get alternator belt and tensioner replaced. On way home engine management light came on and 'antipollution faulty' flashed on the display.
The gearbox is a mismatch when it’s paired with the 154bhp 1.6 THP petrol engine, but it is far better suited to the less urgent, steadier character of the 110bhp 1.6 HDi unit.
I love the car, I like its space, economy and with the auto box it's still a great drive. My last 59 plate Grand Picasso with the semi auto box had the same 1600 HDi engine I believe and did 100k miles over 8 years without major issues, but this one is linked to Adblue, and I believe therein lies the problem.
